Why do many Protestants desperately ignore James 2:24?

We Protestants do not ignore it. This simply means that we have to put our faith to work. We cannot have faith without action. We have to act on our faith. For example, we can have faith to know that God is going to bless us with a car, but if we do not act on our faith, it will not happen. Acting simply means to do things to work toward your faith. James also said faith without works is dead. We have to learn to put our faith into action. Give our faith a job to do
